Team Goals

Create an environment where fun, progression, equity, inclusivity, and cooperation are of the utmost importance. 

Reach as many youth riders as possible in the mid Maryland area and introduce Enduro and Downhill racing.

Create a local community to support and nurture youth gravity racers for the future.

Junior Racers

5th Grade +

Racers compete in the Amateur division of their age group. The number of races the racer participates in is determined by their parent or guardian. Parent or Guardian is present at all practices and events.

  • Focus is fun, sportsmanship, progression!
  •  Racers can race as few or as many events as their guardians see fit.
  • Parent or Guardian present at all practices and events.
  • Race in the Amateur division of their age group.
  • Training is not mandatory for any group but highly encouraged.
  • Team and induvial goal setting
  • Opportunities to work with qualified MTB instructors
  • Mechanical support at races by Senior Series Racers
  • Team jerseys at cost
  • 20% Discounted parts, labor & accessories (participants race bike only)
  • Preferred service appointments (participants race bike only
  • Discounted bike sales from Specialized & Santa Cruz

    • Senior Racers

    Ages 15-22

    Racers compete in the Amateur division of their age group. The number of races the racer participates in is completely up to the individual.

    • Racer’s age 15-22 (High school and College)
    • Focus on progression.

    • Race in the Amateur division of their age group.
    • Training is not mandatory for any group but highly encouraged.

    • Opportunities to volunteer and promote gravity racing.
    • Mechanical support at races

    Future Goals

    Create a scholarship fund to fully support disadvantaged riders.

    Expand the reach of the program outside the norm. Engage a variety of ethnicities, genders, and socio-economic groups.

    Fund and support a camp(s) to introduce new riders to gravity riding.

    Find other like-minded groups, companies (local and regional) to help fund the team and its goals through donations or volunteering.

    • Team Manager Responsibilities

    • Collaborates with racers/guardians of racers to determine
      a schedule that fits the level of each rider 

    • Promotes the team through MICL and other local groups

    • Organizes training days with certified coaches

    • Coordinates travel and lodging for races
